The Romanian Journal of Society and Politics (ISSN print: 1582-5795, ISSN online: 2393-3224) is a  long-standing and peer-reviewed academic scientific journal managed by the National University of Political Science and Public Administration (SNSPA), Bucharest, Romania. The journal first appeared in 2001, as part of the Project for Civic Education and Academic Development Foundation (ECDA). After a period of discontinued publication during the years 2007-2010, it was reestablished in 2011 within SNSPA and it has appeared on a semi-annual basis ever since. 

The Romanian Journal of Society and Politics is published biannually online and comprises scholarly Articles and Book Reviews that belong to the thematic focus of Political Science, Political Theory, International Relations and European Studies.

The Romanian Journal of Society and Politics has significant global exposure, with both authors and reviewers drawn from a national as well as international background. At the present time, the journal is indexed in several international databases, such as DOAJ, SSRN, CEEOL, EBSCO and ERIH PLUS.

The Romanian Journal of Society and Politics promotes an open access policy and adheres to open access principles as set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative, the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities and the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing.

The Romanian Journal of Society and Politics applies the Creative Commons License “Attribution-NoDerivs CC BY-ND” to all published material. This license allows for redistribution, commercial and non-commercial, as long as it is passed along unchanged and in whole, with credit to the Romanian Journal of Society and Politics (RJSP), as initial publication source. Authors retain copyright and grant to the Romanian Journal of Society and Politics right of first publication.
